Community

Albemarle in Australia actively contributes to community

Albemarle invests in community by supporting the efforts of many local groups and initiatives, adding vibrancy, helping to build capacity, and making a more resilient world.

Providing practical support to the communities in and around where we operate is a key priority for us, and we do this through Albemarle’s dedicated Community Grants Program. The program funds and advances positive local initiatives across the areas of Education, Environment & Sustainability, and Health & Culture.

In 2022, we awarded more than 20 grants, and in 2023 we are on track to triple that number with funding for a broad cross-section of local organisations and initiatives important to local South West residents. Applications for community funding are advertised by Albemarle throughout the year.

Albemarle is committed to engaging with community and building positive relationships via our company’s Core Values which encompass care, curiosity, collaboration, humility, accountability and integrity. As a global company with new interests and operations throughout Western Australia, we are committed to a journey throughout the life of our business to build and maintain strong, positive and constructive relationships with Indigenous Australians.

Albemarle acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to lands, waters and community. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders past and present.

We are working to develop a comprehensive Reconciliation Action Plan, and a range of initiatives to boost Indigenous employment and training opportunities with Albemarle Australia.
